The importance of the liver

In this organ of our body, was awarded more than 500 functions. Among many others, to store sugar and fat, the formation of antibodies, the elimination of toxins, digestion and absorption of fats and vitamins A, D, K and E.

Many hormones are processed in the liver, hence that when it fails it can cause alterations in the hormonal functions.

Moreover, cholesterol, from which they form the so-called "sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), needed when the liver was severely affected, causing thus disturbances in the menstrual cycle.

And that's not all: this is a body self-sufficient, being able to regenerate quickly. Even though much of its substance has been removed by surgery, in a few months the liver grows, standardizing its activity almost completely.
