Winning the neofobia was a vital step in the evolution

Any comment anthropological give certain that mankind was born somewhere in the African continent, and from there, along with hundreds of thousands of years, it was spreading around the globe. This phenomenon of migration could not have given a kind dominated by neofobia, and is the exploratory spirit of man a feature that has most contributed to his success as a species.

There is still unresolved the question of whether this spirit born in our genetic code or wine driven by external factors. But, whether they descend from the trees on his own initiative, or were forced upon them by the competition he had in the branches for food, to expand and survive as a species it was necessary to overcome the fear of the unknown.

A brief review of the history we can see that humanity, either as individuals, groups or organizations, has always had a tendency to neofobia. In his book Thirst Subias, conventions prophets, the Nobel laureate physicist Georges Charpak and Roland Omnes offer an interesting historical study on the difficulties that took modern science to be heard in an age definitely little friendly news, with the trials of Giordano Bruno and Galileo by the Inquisition parle.
