The word comes from "hypnos" or "sleep" in Greek. But a definition is incorrect because the hypnotized is not asleep, but in a trance.Despite this, still conscious, although brain functions have changed. The thinking and logic are asleep and do not interfere, so that the patient ignores what he sees, does not allow outside influences him.
This is a scientific explanation, this is a psycho-biological phenomenon during which our brain responds to a stimulus, the concentration and subsequent deep trance. By the power of the mind, our hormones secrete substances anaesthetic or otherwise acting as certain drugs and amending our state.
During this experience we are not at the mercy of hipnotizador; it only takes afloat a capacity that we have all but ignore how to use.
It also should be noted that not everyone can be hypnotized.
Some are very skeptical and reluctant, consciously or unconsciously, hypnotizing it by simply left. These are people who are very analytical autobloquea with his attitude, while others, especially the most imaginative, have a greater capacity for relaxation and concentration. The latter are the majority and can easily reach the trance.
Finally, remember that often we find ourselves in a light trance without realizing it. When we are very interested in something we see or read, for example, we arrive at yourself momentarily from the outside world, to isolate what is around us. Many people get listening to music.
