The nose is the principal organ of smell and fulfills its role through the olfactory epithelia.The liquid smells stimulate the olfactory nerve fibers which is recorded by the limbic system and hypothalamus. It is believed that humans can detect some 4,000 different scents and a nose "exceptional" can identify up to 10,000 odors.
