Hypertension and cholesterol hereditary?

A hereditary problem?
According to recent published studies, 50 percent of adults with hypertension also have elevated cholesterol numbers. Both disorders, which are two important risk factors for cardiovascular disease have a genetic component.

That is why one wonders if the children of those who suffer (between 25 and 30 percent of the population) also may be affected. For this reason, the children of people who have suffered an ischemic coronary problems or cerebral hemorrhage, or suffering from some of these two risk factors, should systematically medirles blood pressure and lipids.

However, the most important in preventing these disorders is to prevent children fattened too.
