With food poisoning in summer

The heat of these summer months promotes food contamination by harmful bacteria and germs. It is time to exercise extreme hygiene measures. Otherwise, it is not hard to find one of the dreaded toxic food.

Of these, salmonellosis is the most frequent. Is acquired by eating eggs in poor condition, so we must take special care, whether they are eaten alone as if they are part of other dishes: mayonnaise, sauces, ice creams, puddings ... To avoid affecting us, it is important to reject those that are broken or dirty, that are properly monitored and kept refrigerated at home under proper conditions.

Foods that carry eggs as an ingredient should not be kept from one day to another, even in the freezer. In the bars, never have to ask for dishes that are not protected inside refrigerated display cases.
The poisoning fish and seafood or ham is also frequent in summer.

Similarly, fruit or vegetables washed or bad water exchange are the origin of gastroenteritis and diarrhea summer. If in doubt, it is better to take mineral water or boiled, of course. For the little ones this precaution will always be enforceable.
It also applies to water from the ice cubes and even to wash your teeth.

If, despite everything, there is a poisoning with symptoms of abdominal pain, fever, vomiting and diarrhea, we must urgently come to the hospital, especially in the case of babies, as they are at risk, very serious, dehydration.
