Works at home

According to the law of horizontal property, the construction of roofs and fences into yards of balconies must have the prior authorization of the entire consortium. Otherwise justice may order the demolition of the work.

• There are things, spaces and parts of a building that belongs in common to all joint owners.

• If you want to build a roof in these courtyards or an enclosure on the balcony, the whole consortium must give consent.

• If the denial is unjustified, the interested party may request court authorization.

• The consortium could, in turn, will go to justice for the demolition of unauthorized work.
