There is another way of knowing the world for those seeking something more than comfortable hotels, good service and postal idyllic: go to places not yet invaded by mass tourism and live under the same conditions as their inhabitants. One option for those who choose to attend this kind of tourism, is to raise bison with the Sioux Indians. Joining in a Lakota reservation in South Dakota (United States), sharing with their native dances and typical night in the meadow, is another option.
The Lakota, better known as Sioux, are famous for being the real big hunters prairie, or at least were until they were defeated by the U.S. military.
The challenge here is, is to share the daily life of a reservation in South Dakota, and see how things change: currently, the community is not all that different from others: it is also affected by problems like unemployment or alcohol . They Texans but still put pen to mark the "Pow-wow" (your typical dance).
