Is it better to bottle the pacifier?

If the child needs to suck, it is always preferable to offer a pacifier. This will prevent the occurrence of caries, frequent in small they have abused for too long of a bottle. On the other hand, if it is removed abruptly and the child does not have a pacifier, it is likely to acquire the habit of sucking his thumb.

This habit is more difficult to modify (the finger goes everywhere with him) and tends to persist until school age. Furthermore, the finger is harder than one teat, and stand between the teeth on a continuous basis, may distort the denture.
