Halitosis, or bad breath, most often occurs in adults than in children. The causes are multiple: from the nose or throat problems to gastrointestinal ailments. But the most common reasons are poor oral hygiene, deep cavities that retain traces of fermented foods and gingivitis.
Treatment to combat halitosis varies depending on the cause that caused it. However, thorough brushing of teeth, gums and tongue three times a day and rinsing with mouthwash mouth usually reduce its unpleasant presence.
