The gene for alcoholism

A surprise revealed by a study from the University of Jerusalem
A gene activated an enzyme that breaks down alcohol toxic factor, forever protecting people against alcoholism.

This was revealed by a study from the University of Jerusalem, who studied a group of people from that city and discovered, not without surprise, that 35 percent of them have a genetic mutation that protects them from alcoholism.

This mutation is only found, scientists said, between five and seven percent of world population, while Africans and African Americans is almost nonexistent. Yet the strange thing is that the third part of the Jewish population would carry the gene anti-alcohol.
