This serious error was made in the hospital Muhimbili of Tanzania.
The surgeons opened the brain to a person when in fact they had to operate him the knee (jaja that abnormal!).
The surgeons confused the names of two patients.
All the surgeons that participated have been suspended.
David Mwakyusa (Minister of Health of Tanzania), he/she apologized for an alarming surgical error, where a patient that had to be operated of the knee was operated in the brain.
Apparently, the surgeons of the University Hospital Muhimbili, the most important in the country tanzano, they opened Emmanuel's skull by mistake Didas to extirpate him a nonexistent cerebral tumor for him, while Emmanuel Mgaya, the one that really had the cancer, was operated of the knee when in fact he/she didn't have anything. Their names had been confused by the médicos.Mwakyusa he/she commented after the event:
"We all are very sad for the fatal error. The two patients will receive the Government's help."
Didas fractured the knee in a moto accident, meanwhile Mgaya would be operated urgently by a long and strong migraine because of a cerebral tumor. The team of medical surgeons was suspended and the address of the hospital opened an investigation on the case.
