Who invented the hair dryer?

The first machine to dry hair appeared in France in 1890, in the lounge of their creator, Alexandre Godefoy.

In fact, there was a vacuum cleaner adapted to reverse its outcome. The air pump of the vacuum creates a vacuum that absorbs dust, and the movement of the engine heats the gases inside. Godefoy removed the tube entry and placed it in the output of hot air. She was born electric dryer.

But these devices are not popularized until 1920, with smaller devices consisting of a fan and a resistance to heat the air.

In the 30 dryers hull invaded hairdressers, but their gas crashed hair.
In the mid-50, the covers of Bakelite broke into the world of aesthetics and finally appeared hand dryers.
