The trick in the world more dangerous

It was the afternoon of March 23, 1918. The Wood Green Empire theatre in London was packed. The audience was delighted with the show that magical presence.

Halfway through the function are a step up. A pair of men armed with muskets came to scene. On the other side was the magician Chung Ling Soo holding a plate in front of his neck. The Musketeers shot and the magician fell to the ground, bleeding: "My God, have given me. Baja the curtain." The next day died the largest of the Chinese magicians.

Only that was not Chinese, his real name was William Ellsworth Robinson, and was born in New York. The crowning moment of his show was the impact of the bullet trapped: they fired several bullets, the Soo stopped and then fell on a plate.

The police investigation discovered the trick. His wife gave to examine the bullets to viewers, they mark to identify. Returning to the scene it changed by others and delivered secretly marked her husband. The muskets were unprepared for the bullets never leave the canyon.

We heard an explosion and saw a flash of light, Soo took advantage of that moment to drop the bullets in the dish. But that fateful night ended corrosion continued to damage the mechanism that prevented the exit of the bullet and William Robinson, the great Chung Ling Soo, died for his art.
