• The first thing to be clear is that the grandparents are alive, are not caring for our children (there are day care), except in case of need.• It is important that we appreciate the help of grandparents, that we feel useful to know and express our gratitude.
• We must clearly define what their roles and what our own, and talk to them without fear.
• Listen without criticism, respecting their views and maintain an open dialogue.
• We must help to provide grandparents timid difficult situations and dealing with them know. When the kids leave, they must have emergency telephones.
• It is our obligation to maintain a positive image of grandparents in the small, but avoid negative or disrespectful comments.
