Bacterial vaginosis

The bacterial vaginosis (BV) is associated with early sexual debut and number of couples and sex per week, suggesting that infection is associated with sexually transmitted diseases, say doctors. In fact, the prevalence of BV was lower in those women whose partners used condoms during pregnancy, a stage where they often reduce the frequency of intimate relationships.

The main symptom associated with VB is malodorous vaginal discharge, but about half of those affected do not respect any symptoms. BV is a sexually transmitted infection linked to either the transmission of bacteria such as Gardnerella vaginalis through bodily fluids or because these fluids, their physicochemical characteristics, alter the ecological niche by promoting the development of vaginal syndrome.
