Diabetes and alcohol


A study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, says that moderate alcohol consumption has heart-healthy properties.

According to researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health, people with type 2 diabetes who drink one or two glasses of an alcoholic beverage with less risk of coronary heart disease, the leading cause of death among diabetics.

The doctors came to this conclusion after following for more than 1 1 years to nearly 2,500 diabetic patients. According to their observations, participants who drank one or two glasses daily of alcoholic beverage had a lower risk of myocardial infarction.
