Violent behavior in adolescents

Violent behavior in children and adolescents can include a wide range of behaviors: explosive outbursts of anger, physical aggression, fighting, threats or attempts to hurt others (including homicidal thoughts), use of firearms, cruelty to animals, fire setting, intentional destruction of property and vandalism.

Whenever a parent or other adult is concerned, should consult a psychologist or psychiatrist to assess the situation as ignore or minimize it would be counterproductive. You should also avoid any physical or psychological violence at home, because violence begets violence.
