Sex and sport

Does sexual activity worsens sporting performance?

The question of the one million who often become coaches and athletes, is whether sexual activity improves or worsens sporting performance.

On many occasions, the sports coaches from different specialties, have considered sex as the public enemy number one of its athletes or players. In cycling, for example, some prohibit sexual activity, sometimes up to a month before the competition.

But there are doctors who believe that there are no reliable studies showing that the practice of sex influence directly into a greater or lesser sporting performance. The latter depends exclusively, the athlete's physical status. If the athlete has quality, the effort will not involve any sexual physical decline. But if on the contrary do not, of course performance may be lower.

Much is spoken of the desirability or otherwise of attending women footballers to concentrations. Some feel that this is a problem much more psychological than physical, that the athlete needs to feel good, which includes having sex with your partner or with whom they want. Only feeling well, was able to achieve the degree of concentration and motivation necessary for an optimal outcome sports.

There is also the theory of those athletes who compete before masturbating in these cases is considered unfounded, since the secretion and production of seminal fluid does not cause any alteration to the physical condition of the athlete.
