One in four French teenagers do or have tried diet on occasion, mostly for reasons that go beyond health reasons, according to a study by a research group in Paris.
The study found significant food shortages, dome more than 25% of respondents never says not to eat fish and 40% less than once a week. In addition, over 20% never eats vegetables, a percentage slightly lower in the case of fruit consumption.
Despite these data, the study stresses that adolescents who participated in the sample, aged between 11 and 18 years, still do not have the habits to "junk food" to show their age peers in North America or United Kingdom.
