A compliment is worth a hundred reproaches

It is a universal mechanism: the person who is praised seek to overcome even more, if only by contrast receives complaints, loses all want to do. It's also easy to operate the children, only in a more emotional and deep. Each praise for them is the confirmation that their parents want them and at the same time, a fuse to make it even better. But as the kids are not fools, we must praise in a convincing way.

■ Praise only things that really deserves it (and there's always something that deserves it).

■ Really Be concerned by what the guy does, ask questions and observe their development. Just what is known well you can clap in honestly.

■ Show joy for every achievement, every step forward. If only one of five words is well written, hold
which is good rather than the four that are blamed bad. The same applies to erect a tower construction, make the bed, setting the table, collecting toys, paint a painting, playing peacefully with the brother ...

■ No praise in a condescending, as if the father were a great understanding that will gracefully worthy to pay attention to a poor ignorant.

■ Dosificar praise
not to turn the boy into a elogiadleto. The indiscriminate praise can have two effects: either the guy picks up the intention and do not believe, or ends up losing all sense of reality, creyéndose king of the universe.

■ Show at all times an unshakeable faith in our children: although today they are still somewhat clumsy, lazy or forgetful, at some point be able to change.

Councils to Lead - Team Leader

To be a leader is, among other things, to change the attitude and behavior of your group. Some commissions to be able to achieve this are:

1. Comienze with praise and sincere appreciation. You are always easier to hear unpleasant things after heard book credit some praise.

2. You be about getting the carefulness indirectly on the errors of the other ones.

3. You count tests of your own errors before criticizing those of the other ones. Not it is so difficult to hear a relationship of the own bugs if the one that make it begins admitting lowly that he is also far from the perfection. To admit the own errors, even when one has not corrected them, he/she can help to convince to the other of the convenience of changing your behavior.

4. You ask questions instead of giving commands.

To ask questions doesn't only return more acceptable the commands, but rather frequently he/she boosts the creativity from the person to who are asked.

5. You let another person to elevate your prestige.

Without never thinking that we hurt the neighbor's pride. Even when we are right and the other person is clearly mistaken, we will only harm if we make you lose prestige. "Not I am entitled to say or to make anything - you wrote TO. Of Saint Exupéry - that diminish to a man before itself. What import is not what I think of him, but what he thinks of if same. To hurt a man in your dignity is a crime.

6. You eulogize the pettiest progress and, also, each progress. You be "hot in your approval and generous in your praises." "The praise is as the sunlight for the human spirit; we cannot flourish and to grow without him. And even so, although almost all are always clever to apply people the critic's cold wind, we always feel certain reluctance when you are about giving our neighbor the hot light of the praise" I comment the psychologist Jess Leir. The capacities wither under the critic; they flourish under the stimulus.

7. You allocate the other person a good reputation so that you are interested in maintaining it.

8. You encourage the other person. You make that the errors seem easy to correct.

9. You try the other person to feel satisfied of making what you suggest.
