Popular Saints

To weigh that the word "saint" remits us to an imaginary Christian, this physique it is characteristic of many other religious beliefs. The identification of the sanctity in each society, you are determined by your history. This way, inside the communities in those that live, people share a communio" "memory on your past and your beliefs. The interpersonal loops, built of that religious shared identity inside the community, they are lived and interpreted through the filter that represent the vision of the world with which each one understands the reality that surround it. This only is not good to understand each other, but rather you also constitute an offered new of faith, through the one which, you are possible to consent and to communicate with god.

This process in which a person intends to participate of the divine grace through the faith and of the devotion, you are characterized by the appearance of a necessity of confirmation. In this sense, the effectiveness of a saint is measured in two aspects. On one hand, in terms of the expectation that the devote one apparent for him; that is to say, the more faith one has in the saint, more effectiveness you are presupposed. For other, a mythical character transforms into saint when you carry out miracles, that is to say, when you solve seemingly impossible problems by means of supernatural powers.

But... How to identify them? Well, leaving of the base that a saint is a mythical character that act for the devote one, as an intermediary between the earthly (material and human) world and the celestial (immaterial and divine) one, thanks to the miracles that it carry out. The reports and the religious practices that describe the saint's revelations in issue (half human hero and at the same time, half divine), are evidence of your power. In the case of the Catholic or orthodox saints, the faithful ones interpret those myths and rituals as exemplary models to continue. This way, the believer is identified with the saint being about incorporating your behavior model, represented by the one on the way to the revelation trafficked by this. On the other hand, the playback of these reports and rituals have a superimposed feature: you refresh the faith of the devote one, at the same time that you popularize the custom of adoring the saint. However, this identification depends on the legal capacity or image that the saint transmits. Such you are the case of the religious physiques of European medieval tradition, as San Jorge or San Cristóbal, two very different fellows. While the first were a warring saint, with a tragic outcome, but with a joyful life of being able to and ascending line among your pairs, of the second is related that you were a giant rejected by your town that he/she lived isolated in the mountains being earned a living helping people to cross a river. The one expressed is one of the reasons for those that, at the present time, this type of saints has taken away from the popular preference to be changed by other nearer ones to people's history and more concerned for your concrete problems.

Those are today's popular saints, a novel and different phenomenon that, of course, you continue cohabiting with the most orthodox devotion for the Catholic saints, some of those which, they continue capturing people's majority interest, like you are the famous case of San Cayetano in Argentina, among many others.

Ufos in the Half Age

Equally in the Half Age the ufos, and thank you proliferated mainly to those «newspapers» of the monasteries and to the own monks that passed great part of time looking at the sky, they are countless the testimonies. This way, the venerable San Gregorio of Tours assures in his «History Francorum» the following thing: «A very luminous globe on the territory of France flew, in the year 853.»
Also extracted of the «History Ecclesiastical gentis anglorum» a very interesting story of a happened fact exists the year 664: «One night, while some monks were praying in the annexed cemetery to the monastery of Barkong, beside the Támesis, a great light got off the cycle, it illuminated them and he/she went to the other side of the monastery, until he/she finally got lost in the depths of the space. The light was such that he/she would make seem pale the light of the noon sun.» The author of this report is anything less than the famous historian Benedictine father of the abbey of Wearmouth, well-known in the whole Church with the name of San Beda the Venerable one (672-735).
A certainly very curious fact relates it the secretary of Carlomagno Eginardo, in its daily book, where he/she says that riding a day of the year 810 Carlomagno toward Aquisgrán, a great globe was seen descend vertiginously of the sky and then to go suddenly toward occident, this sudden appearance, together with the enormous splendor that emitted, frightened the king but mainly to its horse that reared up and it demolished its horseman malhiriéndolo. In fact, before the death of Carlomagno (814) it landed like the bishop relates Agobardus, a «ship, wrapped in a cloud, with four people» before the city of Lyón. These visitors, arrived in a strange way, they were able to escape for not being attacked by the mad multitude.

And already in full Half Age they are abundant the anniversaries of stories; let us see some: Easter, 1344: In the Villa of Feldkirch, Austria, near the frontier with the Swiss colony, «a trunk wrapped in flames» he/she fell on the square of the market and, after resting a while there, he/she got up and, in their flight in the heights, it disappeared of people's view.
In fact, with Columbus the Modern Age begins, where they also continue accumulating numerous ufos rakes, and where in the middle of XVIII century us to meet with a direct narration on a man coming from another planet that descended of a flying ship. The fact registered in 1790 in the French town of Alencon. Several reports of the time pick up it. In summary, the text says the following thing: «An enormous globe wrapped in flames settled in the summit of a hill. A man dressed with a very tight attire left the same one and he got lost in the near forests.
When the peasants went to check the stranger phenomenon, the globe it exploded quietly before them, without leaving rake none.»
