Childbirth does not hurt?

While there have always been attempts since to have an easy birth, no comprehensive methods have been developed to help nearly half of this century. The idea arose in the minds of the English physician Read served as a birth that, despite living in extremely precarious conditions, stating that "the confinement was not harm".

The women of this, of course, passed without the slightest problem, and this rare experience led to believe that Read only fear is the culprit of pain.

At the beginning of this vicious circle there is nothing more than a series of negative emotions. Read developed some techniques to overcome fear through explanatory talks about childbirth and relaxation.

At the same time, more or less, the Russians Platanov, Nicolaiev and Velvoski began using hypnosis to achieve painless childbirth. With the passage of time and would prefer to abandon this line to inform pregnant women about the whole process of childbirth. This aimed to eliminate their fears and negative perceptions and create positive conditioned reflexes. Thus was born the Russian school of obstetric psicoprofílaxis.

Another important figure in the preparation of the pregnant woman, Lamaze, learned this method at the beginning of the fifties and introduced it in France, adding relaxation and breathing in panting (currently sidelined).

In Argentina, Maternity Hospital British pioneered in this field. On the momentum of its then director, Dr. James Mac-Lean began its implementation in 1957. In that year there was another revolution: for the first time in this institution, a mother left the room at birth walking with her baby in her arms. A year earlier, Dr. Lamaze had issued an unforgettable way in the Argentine Medical Association.

The causes of insomnia in children

We, too, adults, reveals to us and sometimes nightmares. And a boy of nine, ten, eleven, is still a child, and every child is subject to growth crisis that generate anxiety.
